Welcome to Little Acorns

At Little Acorns, nursery class of Oak Lodge School, children explore, play, and grow in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. Every day is filled with hands-on discovery, imaginative play, and small group sessions with their key worker, helping children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

We are a 21-place nursery, with five places each year for 2-year-olds and the remainder for 3- and 4-year-olds. Open term-time only, we follow the same calendar as the main school and offer flexible session options, including 5 x morning, full-day, or 5 x afternoon sessions. For families who need extra care, we provide termly pre-booked wrap-around sessions through our Breakfast Club and After School Club.

Each child is assigned a key worker to guide their learning journey, helping them grow in resilience, curiosity, and independence. We celebrate each child’s individuality and foster a culture of respect, kindness, and appreciation of differences. Our aim is for children to leave Little Acorns ready and confident for Reception, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and self-belief to thrive at school.
